From a creek, draw bridge, stone staircase, ivy, and many other beautiful design elements, it really is such a versatile and elegant location. The location we used in University Park has gorgeous lighting, and even with a rain storm hovering close by, we still captured beautiful senior portraits! This location is probably my favorite for senior portraits of girls due to all the vast background options. Lighting is the number one element that translates into an image that can be later displayed as a work of art and due to this I am very particular about the locations I choose to photograph my high school senior clients. Many clients do not always understand a nice background doesn’t always translate into stunning images. I prefer to photograph in locations that I am familiar with the lighting, architecture, and design elements. All of my clients are sent a location list to choose their favored location from. I always say wardrobe, hair and makeup, and location are the elements that make or break a session. We started with a fun sun dress in the creek, followed by jeans and a beautiful blouse, her high school cap and gown, and ending with a skirt and her college t shirt. We decided on this gorgeous location at Davis Park in Highland Park and captured so many amazing images! Patton was a natural in front of the camera and she knocked it out of the park with her wardrobe selection. I am always so honored when a client drives a long distance and chooses me to capture their senior photography. I recently had the pleasure of photographing gorgeous Miss Patton for her high school senior pictures in Dallas! She came to Dallas Fort Worth from out of town for her senior portrait session. And we won it all in 2005,” Allen said.Dallas Senior Photography in Highland Park Texas “That group of young men had a goal to win a state championship when they were in eighth grade. We would be blue poker chips, opposing teams would be red poker chips.” "He used to teach us quarterbacks about coverage and route concepts with poker chips. I had one too many of those as a kid,” Stafford said, reminiscing on his favorite memories of Coach Allen. “We used to watch tape in his office and he had a mini fridge filled with moon pies. Nine years later with the help of his own future NFL star quarterback: Matthew Stafford. At some point in your coaching career you think boy, if I haven’t won one yet, maybe I’m not ever going to win one,” Allen said.īut he did. But Drew Brees and the Westlake Chaparrals held that championship honor instead. As far as state titles go, he came close in 1996 coaching for his alma mater Abilene Cooper. I was on the sidelines, I was a scout team player and that really helped my development as a head football coach."Ĭoach Allen was the head of three high school football programs prior to taking the reins at Highland Park. ![]() “I learned a lot about not being a starter. I was not a great college player but I contributed to the team,” he said. Allen was a tailback for SMU from 1969-72. But before he was calling plays on the sideline, he was making plays on the field as a SMU Mustang. He was destined to be a high school football coach. ![]() It was kind of like a calling.”Īllen had that calling when he was 12 years old. “I never really looked at like a job,” Allen said. Randy Allen is a man with over 400 career wins under his belt and four state championship rings on his hand. So after Landry’s death in 2000, Allen wore a fedora on the Highland Park sideline in his honor. He hasn’t taken it off since
